| Many of the decisions we make and actions we take, either individually or in groups, affect our environment, yet economic and political considerations often dominate. Integrating ‘environment’ with other factors in decision-making is a sizeable challenge, and our emphasis on environment in this course is intended not to isolate it but to ensure that it is not forgotten.
You will learn how to use a variety of systems ideas and techniques (including modeling) for exploring the context of environmental issues, formulating problems and opportunities, evaluation, monitoring and taking action. Case studies and examples are included and you will have opportunities to explore your own environmental decision-making situation.
